Our beautiful Widecombe Valley campsite is situated in the historic village of Widecombe in-the-Moor with fantastic local facilities within walking distance.

 

We have two great pubs, cafe's and a post office along with our historic church and village green. The epic landscape of Dartmoor surrounds the campsite and is only a short walk away so this is an ideal campsite for walkers, backpackers and visitors to the village.

 

The campsite only takes a small number of campers which makes it a very quiet and cosy place to stay. Pre-booking is essential due to the limited camping spots available. This can be done by using our contact page

 

The Widecombe site is tucked away deep in the valley right next to the River Webburn. Each camping pitch has it's own little circular area for pitching your tent. Vehicles cannot be driven into the camping pitches area but we do have a car parking area just inside the gate to the site which is a short walk from all camping areas. Having a vehicle free site means peace and quiet for all visitors and a much more natural look to the campsite.

 

There is a spring water tap in the corner of the field which is taken from our farm supply. Although the water comes from a natural spring and we drink the water it may be worth considering boiling it if you intend to use it for drinking. We do not have showers or washing facilities on this site so please consider this when booking with us.

 

We also offer car parking for walkers who are planning on long day walks and overnight wild camping.
